Fulcrum (Campag) wheels, Deda finishing kit?

    http://kitesurfbikerambling.files.wordpress.com/2011/05/619225941_p5fjh-l-5.jpg

I saw a red MXL today in Dublin city centre. It was sweeeet.

I think those wheels or campag hyperons are a good match for the frame and look better than boras or deep section rims.

The deda stem is a big too chunky for an old steel frame and actually think the ritchey one (in black) looks better!

    Crikey.

I'll have to stick with what I have.....for now :)

This one from the Colnago site is rather tasty (though not to everyone's taste, I suspect)

Yes, they are very good frames. I have a very similar one. It weighs just under 1.9kg which is very light for an 80's steel frame. It's post 1984 since that decal on the head tube commemorates Francesco Moser's breaking the hour record in 1984 (he did 51.151km) and his winning the 67th Giro D'Italia that same year.

I am going to use my CSI skills to figure out where you live and will then steal your bike.

EDIT: Should not have told you plan before execution, lovely bike

Very sweet bike, what are the wheels?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,323 ✭✭✭scott1974

They are Farsport carbon clinchers... pretty nice and light.so far so good..
I have Corima tubs for racing, it makes changing over between wheels easier and no need to change brake pads.

Will happen! Having to adjust to racing positions after a few years where I didn't race seriously much apart from cross..
Age, bad neck and gut hamper the efforts.......

What do you guys do with the older frames, you seem to be upgrading all the time. Do you hand on to the old bikes or move them on?
