I was with you for about 2 seconds Lenny, but my appreciation of it appears to have a 2 second half life. The more I look at it, the less I like it...

As is usually the case, I can't actually verbalise why exactly though.

the thin tubes and bulky looking wheels don't sit naturally together.

I have a similar frame at home that I really am going to restore this year, and was looking for ideas. I liked the look of this one. You don't see many with the curved fork. Personally, I wouldn't have that saddle or the saddle bag, but, i think it's one of the best neo/retro/modern bikes I have seen. Maybe a set of mavic open pro CD rims rather than the carbon.

Look at H+Son TB14 rims. Very low profile so they look like Nemesis tubs or the like. They'd be what I'd want on an older frame. Maybe with gumwalls.

@ Lennymc I think it's the droopy bars and stem and the old saddles as well on all of those that detract, for me. I wonder would a modern cockpit and saddle better help to marry old and new?

Kids needed new wheels and my head was turned by a cheap 29r, an excuse to join them on fun cycles

The new Venge is absolutely rancid. It's an insult to this thread that it's in here.

not mad on the colours, but it looks like a impressive ride. The bike obviously before anyone gets offended by my comments
