    My latest purchase.

That's one sweet ride but the stem and spacers would have me believe an aero bike isn't the right choice :D

Stem and spacers will stay put until my back gets repaired :) TBH I'm in the process of swapping out components etc so it'l be a while before I have her out on the road. She's actually very comfortable.

You must get rid of all the spacers, flip the stem, straighten the drops and ride it shirtless and helmetless wearing only half shorts and awesome shoes.

    Here is an instructional video.

With my back the way it is at the moment I reckon the former would be the better option ;)

You're right, but in fairness, they've done a good job with the paint job.

I feel dirty just looking at that. I'd almost walk down and clean it if I new where it was ;)

Interested to know the association with the R?s though.

Nay, secure off street location, you won't happen across this on regular travels.

Finally managed to find the bar tape I needed to finish my new build. Hasn't been made in almost 20 years and couldn't find a roll of it anywhere. In the end I managed to locate two boxes of it - enough for twenty bikes! Reckon it must have been from the carrera cycling team.

    Yours? Niiiiiiiiiiiiice.

Would look the best with the stem up and tanwall tyres.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,980 ✭✭✭Plastik

Unfortunately not. The SuperSix & CAAD10/12 is such a classic simple frame design though. Less can be infinitely more.

Remember Trigger's broom from Only Fools and Horses? Well, here's Trigger's bike!

The only thing left from the original bike is the 6 year old frame. Even the fork is changed (under warrenty from Canyon). Bought the shifters, rear mech, and cassette to upgrade to 11 speed. Previous replacement bits and pieces carried over to this. Ideally, I'd upgrade the Tiagra 10 speed cranks but they work fine and anything newer would only be a small weight saving. I have lighter Ksyriums but the Ultegra wheels pictured are plenty good enough. Will do for another 6 years...

Ship of Theseus. Only Fools and Horses is quite high brow in it's philosophical references.
