    MINE!!

Didnt really want to build it this year but hand was forced after a bearing race seized on my other one.
Currently has old Athena on it but will shod it with Chorus as soon as budget allows!

Not a fan of the rims here. I like them on some bikes like all black but top marks for the flash of blue on the break pads.

EDIT: Would coloured tyres work here, if you could find a match ? Saw some recently on a bike , just the contact surface was red the walls were normal black.

I think the brake pads are Reynolds cryo pads that come with the wheels. Very good pads and the colour was a bonus for the build!

Too much black...personally I'm tired of stealth black bikes now.
Not that I'd say no to that one.

After 86k and over 1500m of climbing on sunday, this is easily the most beautiful thing I saw when I stopped at Sallys Gap. Bought it in Laragh when having lunch, flew up the 20k to the gap and this was my treat.

Here's an older (2000-2003 ?) c40 just for a bit of comparison. :) (not mine, btw, but it is for sale)

Make is Firefly, no idea on model mind but I think they do a lot of custom. They have a Tumblr with lots of bike porn including that one: http://fireflybicycles.tumblr.com/post/166431494233

there's a little bit of la vie claire going on there, n'est ce pas?

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,285 ✭✭✭Mercian Pro

Was trying to visualise what cycling gear you could wear with a beautiful bike like that. La Vie Claire might work but it features primary colours whereas the pink and blue here are anything but primary.

All black might be the way to go.

  • Moderators, Category Moderators, Arts Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 49,406 CMod ✭✭✭✭magicbastarder

well, they *are* primary, but in the CMYK model:

Yeah, some of their anodized titanium finishes are amazing, they do the odd interesting paint finish too.
