Nope. He was on a Helium that day (and any mountain day, given that the Noah is an aero model)
Pic of the bike on the day here - you can even see its serial number .....:D

Anyway, we've gone off topic, before the mods have a pop...

Add to that, I doubt ABS/Denifl himself will allow *that* bike out of their sight, ever. It is such a part of the history of the team.

That said, if I had 5 grand knocking about, I'd gladly take one of them!

It’s 20 years since I used them, but I have very good memories of them :-)

My understanding is that they were fine if set up in a manner that allowed for their design. Anyone setting them up "properly" doesn't seem to have issues with them?

They were a poor design, because the setup is difficult.

In some things, like those gorgeous delta brakes, usability comes second.

I love watching the linkages moving with the covers removed. Similarly, I love watching the parallogram links moving on the original squeaky XT/XTR v-brakes.

Personally I never found the set up difficult. Might be an issue with older sets or older cables etc, but I don’t expect any difficulty with these if I fit quality cables and housing and keep the internals clean and oiled.
