what way are the gears on that?
It looks to me like thumb shifters attached somehow to the brake lever.
And why would you put the bell on the down tube?

And yet, it seems to all come together nicely.
    The colour helps.

    Shifters are from: Gevenalle
    They're friction shifters

I cannot answer much more than that

    That is stunning.

    Klein's are class.

I saw one at the canal one day, a road bike with a purple and green shot paint job, it was gorgeous. I told the rider so!

I was looking at the shifter in the picture trying to get my head around how it worked in the hand.

The top one is at Herne Hill, I think? Second in Somerset somewhere.

Purple blue paint job is called Purple Haze I think

Is that yours? I owned one many years ago, loved it but sadly it was stolen from me

I believe Trek own the klein brand now, I wonder would they ever release some models again?

They had the best paint jobs and were always ahead of the game, had internal cables and one piece bar/stem combos.

Although it was there mountain bikes that really were beautiful (IMO).

I'm watching a lot of Seinfeld lately (on 4 player). He had a Klein hanging in his apartment throughout the series. They had previously had a Cannondale too in early episodes

That bike is stunning but the picture as a whole with the riders in the background is perfect. Nice work :)

I think Gary Fisher left once Trek bought them out. So Trek continued to make hard tail MTBs and a few road bikes for awhile under the Klein name, but as hard tails became less popular they faded away. I think you can still get them new in certain US shops. But they’re really just Treks now.

Yamaguchi though, he liked to experiment and mix his designs, below is another track pursuit bike he designed.

Cornering always fun on proper track bikes cos of toe overlap. They're not really made to corner, cos they don't need to
