@ Murph100 - Gorgeous job on it lad, really really tasty.

I'll have to commission you to photo mine once it's built :D

(don't know if the snow will still be here, might have to DIY a snow blower like the lad in the Vodafone ad...)

    Yo Che !

Cheers Dude, dont know what the final weight is, bloody bathroom scales are all over the shop, I reckon herself is constantly tinkering with them

I DO know both our frames are 940g ( kitchen scales are MINE !! )

Best of luck with the build and see yas on the mountains !!

BTW ya might want to upgrade the chamois & gloves, seriously stiff frames, road feedback is ...erm... lets just say a tad on the extreme side !! :)

my early racing days were spent aboard European steeds like Peugeot and Paganini, then 5 years on a Cadex, followed by 13 years riding 'new world' machines from Trek and Specialized. But this time I've gone back to France for some lugged power. I've only been out on it to do adjustments, but I'm hoping it rolls as fast as it looks !

Cheers Dave, heh .. kind of ironic that I've always wanted a Time, just would be completely wasted on me.

That is some incredible machine you've got there, absolutely stunning, hope you knock tons of enjoyment out of it. Campagnolo must be very happy with you !! ;)

Wow - sexy bike. Do you actually own that? If you don't mind me asking how much was it? (no worries if you don't want to say).

Nice bike, now banned by UCI apparently. Muwahaha, take that Contador.

Was the greatest cyclist in the world not riding one yesterday or the day before? In red?

Some nice bike in the last few days... I'd have the Time if given the choice (bar tape!!).
    shivfoto2010.jpg

What is that? It's not a production Shiv, the brake is on the wrong side of the fork and the rear cowling over the wheel wouldn't have been UCI legal even before the 3:1 rule... a next gen tri bike? a rejected prototype of the Shiv? Where'd the photo come from?

EDIT: here's an actual shiv so you can see the differences I'm on about:

I robbed it from the LFGSS Bike Porn thread, don't even nearly own it! :( It is beautiful, even if it is illegal.

I like the way they put it the wrong way around to try to hide the gears.

Someone has done it for real. Can't find the full photoset right now but it is both amazing and disgusting what these hipsters will do.

Looks very much like my Raleigh project that came my way as a freebie!
Your frame is a much nicer size though, mine is about 23 1/2"

Not sure how comfortable this would be (not sure I like the look of it either, and it weighs more than two Brooks!) 1,250g of solid gold.

RE The Shiv, its obvious that the redundant headtube fairing was removed from the prototype and the smooth tube integration between the top and down tubes was moved back.

However this apparently suit the UCI also. Maybe they want LA and AC riding exactly the same bikes. Or AC has the better road bike while LA has the better TT bike!

In relation to the ban of the shiv, Contador could only use the older transition if the speed gussets seen below were removed
Instead of racing The Shiv for the first time, Contador instead will compete on a 2009 Transition TT frame that was modified to meet UCI requirements. Mechanics literally sawed off 2cm of two reinforcements off the bike to fall within the 8cm rule.

The pieces could be trimmed off the Transition frame because they were not an integral part of the frame material. It would be impossible to cut them off the Shiv, however, without damaging the integrity of the carbon-fiber frame.

Caroline Morohan had a programme on TV a few weeks back about this. I thought I was unshockable. I am just a prude in reality.

I like them, wicked grip, corner like on rails, smooth out a bit of road buzz and roll forever but wish they were a little lighter, 240g would be sweet.

Haven't flatted yet so cant comment on that.

Said I'd give them a go...
