Finally done! Got the headset bearings from Joe Daly's. Wrapping the bar tape around those campy shifters was one of the most infuriating things I have had to do, but it does look good when you finally wipe away the sweat and tears. Overall I think Shimano was a bit easier to setup, there are a few small errors on this build but nothing that impacts performance.

Camera out of battery so will have to make do with phone photos for now (wishing I had zipped my lip about Che's photo skills).

Nice rig as they say on radar. There must be some standards for this thread. People want to see what bikes other users have, or have just built, or have restored, or plan to. The interest is in the relationship with the board members and a bike they own Not a picture of a bike that can be found on line or is commerically on sale. The interest is in the owner & the bike!!!!
So keep posting particularly those who are customising a bike and those restoring one.

Although that may be the way the thread has moved over time, if you go back to the opening post it states:

"...thought occured that the cyclists could post images of their equipment. And of their dream bikes etc."

To me that would mean someone having finally got round to buying/building their dream machine hence their pride in wanting to share an image of it with people he/she knows would appreciate it.
When you fork out 2k to 6k I think you could safely say it is someone's dream machine

TT bikes are NOT images of beauty, and definitely not that one.

    An antidote is needed...

I agree with you I am much more interested in Boardsie's actual bikes. But if someone finds something of particular interest on the interwebs it can be of interest too.

That Transition looks horrible. But taste is personal.

Comparing a road bike to a TT is like comparing a corolla to a corvette, in terns of everything.
    a super-car to a horse and carriage.

I think every one here will agree that when it comes to sexy curves and lines the aero TT bikes are king, they are the super cars of the bike world, right now as it is road bikes really don't have so many distinct curves shapes or lines to actually differentiate enough between them and call one more beautiful than the other, really beautiful for that matter except for a few now who are currently practising using aero, they catching up no worries.
TT bikes look like uber cool super modern jetfighters.

An antidote is needed... pretty neat looking bike, but i have a better antidote

    Kuota_KOM_2010_White.jpg

    this is the antidote.

TT bikes are right now better looking and more artistic than road bikes in my opinion. TT looks like aero speed art and technology, thy look cool streamline fast and futuristic., while road bikes just look kinda plain in comparison, but that is changing.

yeah i admit that one transition isnt sweet, i hada squint really hard for about an hour to make it look nice, price good lol didnt buy one though.

i like Argon 18. won eurobike 2008 award for design, and did one of the fastest splits in Kona.

Removing pic now plp. sorry for the eyesore. was just just throwing it out there for feedback, gave positive comment hoping to boost.

when it comes to looking good i think a TT bike will ordinarily out do a road bike, TT bikes are like beautiful fantasy sculpture future bikes. using the given manufacturers ultimate performance and wind tunnel technology.

When it comes to style however and sexy aero road bikes are rapidly gaining ground,

    AR1_Di2_2010_FNL.jpg

    10_FELT_AR1(4).jpg

aero internal cable routing, looks nice.

hope i do not get flamed for my opinion.

right about taste though cause i find that look bike extremely horrendously ugly with that funny looking frame arch up thing. ewww

It looks like was broken or something and go stuck back together poorly. wheels and handle bar look good though but they need a better host.

That's a tri bike and therefore ugly (not to mention the driveside fail and Iron Man Dork Tree™ sticking out from behind the saddle.

I think you should petition the mods in A/R/T to introduce an Images of Beauty thread.

    :)

I dare you to find a road bike that even looks almost as cool as this E112 i took away the bottle holders so you cant get distracted
and this is just an pretty avg looking tri-bike btw, raod bikes ugly pieces of welded pipe, and lame bleh neh neh neh neh neh neh!!! LOL
    I challenge you lumen.
Its just that when i google beautiful road bike, they all pretty much look ugly and lame to me.when i google beautiful TT and art appears, if you find a road bike that actually looks cool and good then feel free to let me know.;)
the other day a guy bought this super expensive pinarello dogma, and showed the guys, and he was like this bike is so cool, but to the general public and people, they were all going under their breath. did he pay all that money for that, and they were piffing saying that just looks like an ordinary old bike some people even went "lame for that, never" to the guys back, while people were galking at the TT bikes with its aero beauty A Trek going cool(from non enthusiast), you cant get more honest than them cause they just call it as they see it,. it is safe to say that only an enthusiast finds most road bikes in general good-looking or cool. mind that some nice looking aero ones are being produced these days.(looking similar to what? TT bike frame designs) check felts they admitted to building their Ar road bike series (some of the coolest looking road bikes) off of the DA TT design. just superior aero and style in TT.

i think I put this bike up in that thread, people liked it on this thread, and even a fuji d6 and people actually liked them, either here or there cant remember.
yawwwn getting sleepy just by including road bikes in the convo wow.

    :)
feedback on the bike not the bottle holder;) anyways
alot of people like that bike on these same threads so hmm i see some bias here, Ok you obviously don't like Tri bikes, and i dont really like road bikes, cause they just lamed down versions of TT bikes to me,
that bike design won 2008 bike eurobike award for design, i dont think a raod bike can do that cause they have no design, they all look the same.
knew i would get attacked for my honest view of road bikes, that being mostly superlame bikes. none of them look good except for maybe like 4,

    ok i will.

Was just saying though since we talking about beauty very few road bikes should be here,LOL, since they not generally good looking, some look good though don't get me wrong.

my two cents but people like what they like.
