this a good option? to get best of both worlds?

It is listed under multi sport.
seat angle adjustible from 73 -80 degrees.

Kouta has a better looking road bike than that:)

I think some of those TT bikes are quite cool, but I don't like the seat posts on them at all and that sort of ruined some of the pics you put up for me. I realise they are probably aerodynamic and that's why they're like that, I haven't adjusted to them yet I guess.

Not exactly an image of beuty but... finally finished rebuiling my trek today. Standard trek 1000, stripped and rebuilt with Ultegra groupset, apart from the chainset which I have stuck on my TT bike. Still need a new saddle and seatpost with less setback.

Finally done! Got the headset bearings from Joe Daly's. Wrapping the bar tape around those campy shifters was one of the most infuriating things I have had to do, but it does look good when you finally wipe away the sweat and tears. Overall I think Shimano was a bit easier to setup, there are a few small errors on this build but nothing that impacts performance.

Camera out of battery so will have to make do with phone photos for now (wishing I had zipped my lip about Che's photo skills).

Skewer is on the wrong side.

Could do with a bit of decking stain.

    Here:
The outspoken star let his gestures do the talking as he crossed the line, making an offensive gesture perhaps aimed at his critics before raising both arms in victory.

The reason for the two-fingered salute, Cavendish said, was to "send a message to commentators and journalists who don't know jack **** about cycling," for writing him off.

My new bike, built up for me by Cycle Surgery in Dundrum.

Nice to have a few off-roaders on this thread for a change! Been meaning to check out that shop. Did you get all the parts there or just have them build it for you?

  • Registered Users Posts: 235 ✭✭bobtjustice

No I had all the parts, mostly picked up on sales at Chain reactions the wheelset from http://www.superstarcomponents.com , the totems I got second hand but are immaculate and frame came from a site in the states at a knock down price.

Cycle Surgery is a great shop, Simon and Declan in there are top blokes and really know their stuff. Built the bike up for me for 65 quid, and given this is my first proper big hit bike, (riding xc on and off for years) they were able to dole out some great advice on trails to hit for a beginner etc. Couldn't recommend them highly enough.

65 quid is a pretty good price for a complete build alright!

Very pretty, but a triple

  • Registered Users Posts: 35 2old4this

Yeah, I know. But, in my defense I bought the groupset when I was 2 stone heavier and I live on a steep 1km hill. :o
I am seriously thinking about changing the whole thing to a Trek 5.9 with 52/39. But will probably wait until next year.

Been meaning to put some of these up for a while...

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,120 ✭✭✭Explosive_Cornflake

What's with all the tilted saddles? It must suit you, but what benefit is it?

  • Registered Users Posts: 336 ✭✭cyco

the two bikes with the brooks are a pretty upright position and the saddle's pretty good that way especially the b33 cause its built like a hammock. The others are mostly a combination of uneven ground and camera angle although the cannondale hasn't been used since that saddle and post went on.

Ill stick this in here for comments. Its the bike Stephen Roche will ride in the Tour de Cure this weekend. New manufacturer based in Canada.
