Can someone tell me if Svchost should be "listening"(according to norton firewall) on port 135?

    I cant terminate the connection

    Hmmmm......

Tried that. Found nothing. Ive NAV 2004 fully updated and it also found nothing.

I placed a block on port 135 and a watch. No activity. I was on the norton site and it said Svchost connection cant be terminated. But it didnt say which port it should be on. Is there something wierd with it being on port 135?

    TIA

135 is open to accept RPC connections.

Keep it firewalled off as this is the port that MSBlaster uses to initiate an attack on unprotected/unpatched clients.

It's generally a good idea to firewall off anything you don't need open for normal activity as this minimises your exposure to possible exploits.
