Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I haven't heard a thing about Partridge since his loan spell at Coventry except that he is injured at present. I heard his name mentioned on another board so I decided to do a google on him. I am not a Liverpool fan, just like to see the Irish doing well. He is highly rated by everyone in the bloody world except Houllier. I thought Championship Manager would have lost fate in him since he has only played one game for Liverpool but they still give him very high attributes.

One thing that I think Liverpool are missing is an out and out right sided midfielder and if Houllier had any sense he would give him a chance.

His appearances in Liverpool's first team squad have been limited, with Gerard Houllier opting for steady, solid midfielders over Partridge's brand of trickery and classic wing play.

I would put 100% of the blame on Houllier and I would love to see him gone just to give Richie a chance. Partridge is surprisingly out of contract in 2 months and I think he will look elsewhere if Houllier is still around. Ireland could do with a right sided midfielder too as Stephen Reid isn't proving himself on the top stage.

Partridge will be 24 this year so I would put my money on him leaving and if he doesn't I really hope Houllier does. Just wondering what the Liverpool fans thought about him and does anyone see him play at all?

"At the moment I am focusing on things here at Coventry. I have committed myself until the end of the season so I'm still looking forward to the rest of the campaign.
It is a great league and it won't do me any harm whatsoever. I can only gain from it and hopefully it'll be a good stepping stone for me to play for Liverpool.
It is always at the back of my mind that I will be going back to Liverpool at the end of the season, which is where I want to play football long-term.
I am aiming for the top and still have a chance of fulfilling that dream."
...if he is ever given the bloody chance.

i believe Liverpool don't think he's good enough to make it in the first team

pity as he did look promising for a long time

He is still at liverpool, but is recovering from a very nasty injury. as far as i remember he broke his leg in two places, and wont be playing for some time.
A real shame, cause from what i saw of him at his loan spell at coventry he looked class

Yeah everyone had high hopes for him untill the ligament jobbie. From seeing him play for Coventry and being a Liverpool fan, realistically it is rare for guys at the age of 24 to break into the Premiership especially in such a specialised position.Houllier does not believe in wingers and never has but in fairness most top European teams do not either.Liverpool do tend to look after their players though and he may well get a new contract.I think a career in the Nationwide is a more realistic target for him.
