Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Of all ze young Arsenal players (excluding Toure & Reyes for obvious reasons), who are you most excited about/would like to see succeed? And who do you think WILL succeed?

Keeper-wise, there's Taylor & Stack. Haven't seen Stack, Taylor looked very good last season though.

Senderos. Rated highly but nobody has seen him play, he seems to be permanently injured.

Pennant. Doing well at Leeds, i'd like to see him back at Arsenal particularily now that Freddie is out for a month. I still think he could make it.

Clichy. Might edge out Ashley Cole before long...?

Aliadiere. Another Henry in the making? Looks extremely promising.

Bentley. Great goal, but i think he's only being hyped up because he's english. I don't think he'll make it.

There's a few others including that Ryan Smith kid who is highly rated. The player i'm most interested in seeing more of is... Fabregas.
Francesc Fabregas has already broken two records since joining Arsenal from Barcelona in October 2003.

Later that month he became the youngest player to feature for Arsenal's first team when, aged 16 years 177 days, he started the Carling Cup tie against Rotherham at Highbury.

Fabregas became the youngest ever Arsenal goalscorer at the age of 16 years 212 days, eclipsing Cliff Bastin's record with a goal in the 5-1 win against Wolves on December 2.

The midfield playmaker, who is also known as Cesc, helped Spain reach the final of the Under-18 World Cup. He was selected as the Player of the Tournament and also won the Golden Boot as top scorer with six goals.
    C'mon cescy!

Yeah, I think Fabregas has great potential, but I think it will be Aliadiere who makes the biggest impact on the first team in the forseeable future. Next season, I think he'll be the one to partner Henry most often, although David Bentley could end up challenging him, depending on how well the pair of them work with Henry.

Stack has been good in the carling cup. Saved a pen.

Cole has definatly got competition from Clichy.

Cesc lokks good especially , as you posted, he got the golden boot in the under 18's world cup. Not bad for a midfielder. BTW have arsenal actually signed him? Or is he on loan?

Nah, that was Rami Shaaban who has gone on loan to West Ham - think he was down to fourth in the keeper pecking order at Highbury :0

Henry_14, yeah Cesc has been signed. He came up through the Barcelona youth system and was their brightest prospect, there was a big falling-out when Arsenal got in and signed up last summer just before he signed professional terms.

"He was selected as the Player of the Tournament and also won the Golden Boot as top scorer with six goals." You just know he's gonna be quality :) He played alongside Vieira in one of the Carling cup games earlier and PV4 said he has all the qualities needed to be a big-time player. Some compliment at that age.

Senderos spoke after his signing and said he turned down clubs like Barcelona and Juve just to work with Wenger - he's been hyped up a lot due to this, I really hope he comes through once he recovers from injury.

pennant - I don't think will ever make it at Arsenal. He's got talent and should do well in the top division but Wenger doesn't seem to believe he has the temperament to make it at a top of the table club. Seems to have a bit of an attitude problem.

Ali - could quite possibly be the man ;)
