Yahoo messenger - booted repeatedly

    Apologies if I'm wrong but this seemed the best place to ask this:

    Chatting with a friend on Yahoo tonight some jackass kept PMing me and I kept closing the windows that popped up. The last one pops up and he says I hope you like getting booted. Every 30 seconds after that I was disconnected from Yahoo, until knobby got bored and went to annoy someone else.
    Mildly annoying though it was, I wasn't THAT into the chat, I was quite impressed that it could be done at all. I reported the ID to yahoo's abuse people for what its worth and then set about trying to find out what he was doing and how. I have drawn a blank. Any googles for yahoo and boot or hack throws up a load of porn/warez pop up nightmares.
    Can anyone here explain what was happening and how? The less beardy the better!

    Some muppet in college has a program that does this. He was flashing it off the other day. Same idea as an AOL punter he said, whatever the hell that is.
