Stupid question regarding win 2000 and utv clicksilver

So i downloaded drivers for the usb modem and installed and have all the dial up details for the connection,however my local area connection has to be enabled for a connection to be made,its disabled and will not enable.Any ideas ?

- drivers installed correctly? (check device manager)

- activity lights on the modem?

- check the tray icon that the drivers install. What does it show?

- Is this a new install of Clicksilver (maybe your line hasn't been ADSL enabled yet?)

- Check the filters/splitters are connected correctly?

- any other USB devices connected that might be conflicting? Try unplugging them

.. thats all I can think of offhand
