    Possible Dates:
    Friday 26th March 5pm - 11pm
    Saturday 27th March 9am - 11pm
    Sun 28th March 9am - 11pm

I'll be literally running out of my last 3rd year exam and into a LAN.
If enough people are interested I'll book us a section in apub or something.
Dunno if the server will be built by then, I'm pretty swamped with work at the moment.
If anyone wants to do a little bit of Ex-VATing for me with Komplet and/or some english web-companies it would grease my wheels a bit :)

not a snowballs chance in hell of attending... even spectating is unlikely.

Naturall, barring the possibility of me being in Spain at that time, I'lll be there.

LC? It's in March for the love of Jeff. There is not one subject that you can't learn the rudiments of in 3 hours. If you spend twice that on it, a top class grade can be attained. I must teach you my system.

BTW, who's the "mascot" for this one? Moreover, who was the mascot for the last one?

My exams start on my bithday, I've another one on the 16th March, Paddy's day off, then another exam on the morning of the 18th.
I won't be doing any partying, will ahve to wait till the LAN, if I can get the BOI theatre, otherwise it'll have to be in one of the rooms in the IT building.

I can give you incredible tips on vital areas such as:

    [1] Keeping your mouse steady.
[2] Headshotting people when you can only see their head over a ledge
[3] Throwing a tantrum and cancelling cs tournaments.

    Have Fun!

I'll be there alright, unless I get a job, in which I'll be quitting the job sharpish! Will try and be able to actually play quake properly this time (no idea how I'm gonna practise on 13 ping tho) and I'll try and have bf fixed up etc

    Bots

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,958 ✭✭✭Fobia

30 ping minimum with bots I'm afraid, maybe theres a way to get past it.......anywho, any chance I could organise the qw tournis? I know most of the players styles etc. If yer stuck I can organise the q3 tourni (I don't have exams or anything), I don't know much about it tho tbh

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,628 ✭✭✭Asok

    <Syxpak> No.

  • Registered Users Posts: 15,815 ✭✭✭✭po0k

    :)

    We'll se what happens.
I'll put together the tourny, but you and paddy can give a hand "tweaking" the teams after they've been run through the randomiser.
Or we could just do multiple runs of the randomiser and pick the most balanced one, after I've approved it of course ;) (Impartiality is important).
Looking into getting prizes sponsored off Gamesworld/Smyth's at the moment (hoping for maybe a Gamecube or GBA or something for a Duels tourny) for the CS and QW/Q3 compos. Will see.

um....wouldn't something that people would actually like be more suitable? :) if it's Smyths sponsering then remember that barbie is always welcome!

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,982 ✭✭✭Caliden

syxpak doesnt Timeout work in Curry's, maybe you get talking to him about something. try contacting him through Vega or the GMIT CompSoc

    ....

I was thinking more along the lines of 5 retail copies of Battlefield Vietnam for the winning eam members, but if you want a Barbie doll to call your very own, I'm afraid you'll just have to go and break a little girl's heart yourself.
