Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Chelsea have agreed a deal to bring Czech goalkeeper Petr Cech to Stamford Bridge during the summer. Chelsea are reported to have agreed a £ 9million transfer fee with Rennes for the 21-year-old. Cezh is being brought in as coverage for Italian goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini who is rated among the finest in the Premiership

    9m for a backup goalie?! sullivan is decent enough cover, it's not too often keepers get long term injuries, even short-term. well, if you have the cash i suppose why not.

    Backup Keeper is as important as any other player especially if you are looking at the CL.
    'Pool had to sign Jones on loan as both Dudek and Kirkland were injured. Imagine if they had a serious CL game (no jokes please) and had to play some young lad in goal??

    Finding it more difficult to imagine liverpool in the CL to be honest.

    The problem is convincing the sub keeper that he's just as important as the no.1 choice. I don't see either Cudicini or the new guy wanting to be backup, and for 9m it's a lot of money to spend (in goalie terms) for someone to warm the bench.
