Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

CHARLEROI RULING WON'T ROCK KNOCK - The Assembly of European Regions has expressed concerns about the implications of last week's European Commission decision on Charleroi. Later today, the Minister for Transport officially opens Knock Airport's new international departures terminal.

Knock Airport's chief executive Liam Scollan says international traffic at the airport grew by 25% to 250,000 last year and is expected to reach 350,000 this year. He says the airport currently has routes to 25 destinations and is talks with a number of other interested carriers.

The ownership of Knock Airport is tied up in a unique trust. Mr Scollan says that if the Charleroi decision leads to a level playing field with publicly-owned airports, it will be a good thing.

He does not think the five-year limit on subsidising new routes will be a problem, saying that new routes must be sustainable and if they cannot survive after five years, they should not be there.

Knock is currently in talks with the Department of Transport on the Government-subsidised Dublin to Knock route, which has performed badly. Mr Scollan hopes the route will continue.
