    Well Well Well,

I was coming back from work on Thurs Afternoon and decided just to pop into Century 21's Shoe Outlet- A well known spot for Bargain Hunters. The Kind of place where if you got a great deal on a pair of Timberlands or Rockports you never admit to getting them there!
The store itself is literally in the footprint of The World Trade Center for anyone who knows NY.

Anyhoo, walked in and began browsing when I caught glance of someone I recognised but not quite sure. As I got closer I knew it must have been him and yes indeed there hew was...Mr Orny Adams...busily trying on a pair of wingtips!

I think Orny was a bit suprised that I recognised him- as by his own admission he couldnt beleive that Comedian was actually filmed 4 years ago. We had a quick chat and he talked about being in Ireland for the Kilkenny Comedy Festival last year. He asked me what I like about Sein and the show and what I was doing in NY. Got the plug in for Seinwars and told him about the website. He also said that he has guys working on a major revamp of his own website - www.ornyadams.com

Before going I asked him to sign my notepad so he scribbled away and I didnt bother looking to see what he wrote till I got on the Subway. I thought it was quite funny cos we both couldnt have picked a more cheap ass section in the store to meet! [see attached scan]

He genuinely came across as a nice guy and told me to drop down to Gotham to catch a show...something I will definitely do now.

    Well there ya go :)

    D.

Very good. Whats the nightlife like and what would be your spots? I think there's a Barcode there, like the one in Fairview.;)

I'm virtually in the Irish Bar Capital !!
THe upper east side has so many Irish Bars your spoiled for choice. I like Fionas on first ave. I was there yesterday to see the england match. I'd say betw. 86th and 90th on first ave. theres about 8 Irish Bars! (One is called the Gaf- never been in it though)

Bleeker St has a some good bars too. Theres a cool bar called the Edge. Good Music and has Pool Tables and Darts...you dont see that too often in Manhattan!
