Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Is it TV or something else? The attendances at todays games were pretty poor, only 24,000 at Sunderland-Brum and 14,000 for Fulham-Hammers.

It really detracts when you can see acres of empty seats. Hopefully Anfield will be packed out.

    Mike.

The commentator said that Sunderland attracted 40k for their first FA cup match against Colchester (i think) and they could only get 24k for a match against a premiership side. I doubt it is because it was televised, probably more to do with it been played at 5.30 on a Saturday, Valentines day.

teams increase ticket prices for FA Cup games, therefore a lot of fans cant be ****ed going (since most season tickets dont include cup games, means everyone has to pay the 40 quid, or whatever)

Doesn't seem to be a good strategy if you're losing out on 24,000+ supporters.

I think it's a combination of two things - season tickets don't count for Cup matches and it's Valentines weekend, with girlfriend nagging their fellas to bring them away for the weekend and what not.

Yeah, its mainly down to the fact that Season tickets don't count for Cup matches.

    are you sure?
ive used a season ticket for a european match in leeds, and a season ticket for a league cup match in old trafford.
dont see why an fa cup match would be any different.

Sorry, I meant FA Cup... You definately cannot use a season ticket for a FA Cup match in OT. My uncle has a season ticket in OT and he has to buy tickets for FA Cup matches whenever they come around.

U can use a season ticket to get preference on buying FA cup in anfield - which btw had a big block of empty seats too.
