System keeps rebooting

    After changing my cpu P4 1.5GHz 400 fsb 256KB L2 cache to a P4 2GHz 400fsb 512KB L2 cache , it just keeps rebooting, the motherboard is a MSI 845 ULtra and supports up to a 2.6GHz 400fsb .

    anybody got any ideas or is it just the obvious.

    I bought the chip second hand off Ebay for 55 euro .

    you tried resetting the bios to factory defaults?

    Thanks tman that worked ,can't belive it , trying all day to fix that one, wos going to throw the chip out the window , any idea on a program that can test my chip.
