    Hate that bit about cyclists may not cycle on tram only streets!!! :mad: :mad: :mad: Over here cyclists may cycle against the flow on a One Way street!!!. :):):)

    There is no ban on cyclists using tram streets - they just have to be wary of getting their wheels caught in the recesses tracks.

    There will be two types of street. The first will be an ordinary street where Luas will share space with other traffic. In a small number of places like Benburb Street and Steevens Lane, only Luas (and emergency vehicle) will be allowed use the street as they are too narrow for other traffic (note Luas can't avoid parked vehicles).

    Colleagues, over a cup of coffee! Tell me they are seeing more accidents to cyclists getting caught in tram lines! Thats before the Luas is even running.!!!!!

    Banning cyclists by DCC will probably be the next move :)

    Of course you will have mishaps involving cyclists on the tracks until they get used to it.

    The flemish part of Belgium. All the oneway streets have a sign saying Except Cyclists.I'll take a pic and post it. In short its great to be a cyclist here. :):):)
