Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

PC to Laptop Ad-hoc Wireless Advice

I have a laptop with wireless b and I want to set up an ad-hoc network with my desktop to share an ISDN connection. I'm looking for a NIC for the desktop.

There are some cheap USB NICs on Komplett:

    Would these be any good?

Are there any disadvantages to using USB NICs? (desktop has USB 1.1 afaik)

There's also a PCI card for a similar price..

    http://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.asp?sku=121268&view=detailed

The PCI card has an indoor range of 100m as does one of the USB NICs.. Would the external antenna on the PCI card mean I could extend this range by modding/replacing it, something I couldn't do with USB?

Will these cheap cards do the job or is there any point in spending more cash?

    Thanks :D
