Considering theoretical physics or economics... but I probably won't be going back.

Legal Studies is a brilliant course Scarlett, or at least it was when Eoin Carolan taught it in 2002... I'm not sure if he's still teaching it but I think he is. It's roughly divided into three: messing, tangents and law... brilliant stuff.

Session 2 probably. How many people from Session 1 last year are coming back this year... and going to Session 2?!
Probably gonna choose Advertising with Art Design and Psychology as second and third choices.

Definetly session 2 and definetly residential (think they mind if theres seventy eight ticks in the residential box?)

1st choice:Electronic Engineering OR Japanese Language and Culture
Alts: EE/Jap, (whichever doesnt win 1st choice)
    Theoretical Physics
    Computer Applications

Any views on the EE/Jap issue to help me decide? I could use some help with it

    I'm still Aidan

I'm going to session 2 too! Hmm, there was a paragraph in the course options book thing that said something like "session 2 will probably be oversubscribed so go to session 1 if you can". Except in less simple english. So yeah, I'll probably put psychology, philosophy, maybe advertising and something else as my options, not sure what order though. And residential definitely.

Twirly Sponge they put that in every year. Usually it is but they manage to cram everyone in :) cept since they're not allowed put people on the campbeds anymore i guess its a bit harder.

yes, kate, i can SO see you driving to and from DCU back to cork everyday :)

  • Registered Users Posts: 76 ✭✭Squeee

If I actually attend this summer (probably will as it is to be my last) I shall hope to be philosophical. Or else I might do legal studies or writing for life. Last but not least would be International history or economics. I was kinda hoping to do sociology this year though. I might be comming over all residential but I don't think I will as I like the chance of escape at the weekends in case I don't like it this year. And I'm most certainly going to session two.

I don't think I'll be able to go this year.
    Also, hello to Teapot.

If I get to go back I'll do Theoretical Physics Session 2. However they might not let me back in seeing as I'm too old. I'll make my way in though!

wow, session 2 must be the new black...

and what in plod's name is talk science??

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 110 ✭✭the_only_Ali

I'm thinking Session 2, Psychology, Philosophy, Legal Studies and International History.
    AND I WILL BE RESIDENTIAL!!!!
If you've already been a commuter they won't make you commute again, will they???

And I am in agreement with what Freakydeadgirl said back there somewhere, Writing for Life is brilliant and Yvonne is a great teacher. Also Archaeology is excellent too. Vinnie is the COOLEST and if you happen to do his course ask about his his band The Precious Few. And he will give you demonstrations on how to skin dead animals you find by the side of the road (except he demonstrates on his class), and show you many slideshows of corpses found in bogs.
    So its definetely worth it!
What are Philosophy and International History like? I know Philosophy and Psychology were meant to be good but I havent heard much about the other 2.

Now while they can't MAKE you commute, they can "strongly recomend" it. Happened to me in 2002. But on the plus side, we got Simpsons appreciation in lieu of me staying.
