The Irish Animation Festival has organised a cyber cafe as part of their belief that computer games represent another direction for animation and with the level of motion capture and detailed movement coming out in games I'd have to agree!

They are keen for us to come down and show what gaming is about.

The costs are kept low (£5-10 depending on numbers) and we'll have the place for the whole day (Sat. 18th Nov)

As an added bonus, they hope to have Anarchy Online making its debut there (I saw it at ECTS, its worth the entry alone to get on to play it for a while).

I'm thinking of running something simple like a running Q3 FFA competition. Something that doesnt require set times or ladders or anything. Just jump in and play.

Then we'll have the final bash of the winners.

I'd also like to demo other online games there too like CS, TFC, UT etc.
Maybe we could all do with seeing how the other side live.

Then Saturday night, we'll go for a few pints whenever people feel like it.

I havent given this a huge amount of thought just yet but its all set to go, the only question is, will people turn up to play.
