Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hey all,
Am heading to the Algarve in Portugal in August. I was there three years ago but have been told its become much more built up and nightlife orientated. Anyone been there lately? (heading in the vicinity of Albufeira btw)

    any info gratefully recieved.

    thanks,
    art

i went there at the beginning of last summer for a week, i think the place we went to was called monta rota it was about 40 minute east of faro and half an hour from the spanish border. it was a lovely town, very quiet, the place we were staying was the only apartment/hotel in town. the rest were either the locals houses or portugese summer homes. its at the beginning of a huge sand spit with sand dunes( a bit like brittas bay but with better weather) with small shacks near the beach selling the best food ever.

Hi, Art, we're off to Praia da Oura (beside Albufiera) in May. We were in Praia da Rocha 4 years ago and found it brilliant. A wide choice of restaurants and pubs, and discos that went on till 6am. The beach was very rough though. Now we've 2 small children so it'll be different. When are you going?

I was in Albufeira in September, it was great, the place to go for nightclubs is Montechero, just get taxis to the strip in Montechero and you will have a super night. I had a great time on that holiday.

We're staying in accommodation called "Quinta Pedra dos Bicos" in Praia da Oura. Has anybody heard of it or know anybody that stayed there? If so, How did you / they find it?
