1mbps for the price of 512kbps

Just got a letter from eircom saying their upgrading our business broadband from 512 down to 1mb! and the monthly cap is going up to 12Gb. All for no extra cost, still €89 per month. Am i imagining things? eircom actually making me happy? WTF???????????????…

When does it say the upgrade will happen pclancy? Have only seen people saying dates for the home user products, and I've Enhanced and havent got any letter yet.

I was on i-stream solo. I've checked my dsl stats it shows now 12GB download cap. Does this means I am upgraded to the 1MB line?

Just check your modem/router for the line stats.It will read either 512k or 1024k.

I think they are doing them in batchs at the moment.
Its nice but I think I'm gonna downgrade to the cheapist business product after March.

Woot!! My line is now running at 2MB

Pity im only maxing out at 206KB instead of the 256KB I should be getting!! But I wont complain over 50KB

Maxing out at 206KB/sec here just got moved from 1024 to 2048, it's pretty good.

RO you d/l something out of the cache on a server? we used to get such high speeds in college

The connection above is from work and no it wasn't in the cache

Usually get between 50-80Mb/s to Irish sites and 10-20Mb/s to international ones.

My DSL was upgraded to 2Mb too.
