Ok, up until a couple of days ago the drive worked fine. Now in device manager it has an ! on it. The drive is reconised in the Bios and it is listed in device manager. However it does not show up in My Computer.

The error it gives is -
Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)

Click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter for this device.

Any idea any one. I've searched for updated drivers etc, tried uninstalling and reinstalling. No luck.

    Cheers John

Well thanks for the massive amount of replies. Apparently it's a fairly common problem.
