dunno if yous heard about this but the story broke 2 days ago - a 30m asteroid discovered in january was first thought to have a 1 in 4 chance of colliding with earth within 36 hours. a call was almost made to the us president to alert the public of the possibility, but yet again an amateur's late observation confirmed…

a call was almost made to the us president to alert the public of the possibility, but yet again an amateur's late observation confirmed that the asteroid's orbit would not in fact take it on a course impacting with earth.
