hey PK, i just bought a motorola V525 and i've being trying to get back on to my beloved meteor... free picture messages, not too shabby! Anyway being the cheap bastard i am ive being trying every way possible to get an unlock code without having to pay for it (i even rang up vodafone customer care and tried to con them into giving it to me.... yes i failed, mainly cuz the guy didnt have a clue)

Anyway after searching a few sites i've found this one, it seems pretty good

    www.gsm-software.com/unlockmotorola.html

I havent bought it yet, but i plan to soon if i cant find a cheaper one in the next few days, $18 isnt bad from the looks of it (ive seen some sites charging up to €40)

anyway hope that helps, and if u do go for that site let me know how u get on

from the looks of it its your only option, other than that you have to spend €127 before vodafone will give you the unlock code

So can I just confirm... you need the cables and software to unlock the Motorola V525 from

    http://unlocker.ru/remote_view.php?Model=motorola

    but

    www.gsm-software.com/unlockmotorola.html

can do it without the need for cables or software.

    Is this correct?

    Thanks,

    DC.
