PM notification

    Would it be possible to get some kind of notification popup or something for when your logged in and you get a PM?
    For example, gigsmarts forums have a thing where a kind of warning box pops up saying 'you have 1 new message, read?' and then a yes or no option.

    Any chance of something similar for here, just so you dont have to keep checking your inbox every few minutes if your expecting a PM, and you can just browse around until your prompted.

    erm, there is such an option...
    turned off by default afaik.

    user cp/edit options

    then look for "Pop up a box when you receive a Private Message?". its the 9th option

    If there's some way of getting that popup to work as soon as you log in to tell you ye have new messages it would be very handy. I'm forever forgeting to look to see if I has any new PM's when I first open the front page.

    A lot of good concepts in that new home page. I'm not sure that I like it as it is in its entirety, or about the proportions, but the idea is nice & the layout a lot clearer.

    Now that I think of it, I actually use cookies and therefore don't actually login.
