This time we're not taking the mick Chris, we didnt do so good!
I dont recall the actual placings but it was something like 2,3,5,6,7

We got away relatively unscathed though, results are as follows:

    169 Boards.ie
    143 Bank Of Ireland
    137 EMuse
    135 BOI: Marketing Gang
    126 Casino Enterprises
    126 AIB Bensors Revenge
    118 Pelko
    116 R.L.S.
    114 BOS: Modest Micks Mavericks
    112 Hibernian
    106 M.C.S.
    102 Bank Of Scotland
    101 Mick Ferron
    100 Larry Murphys
    92 Amari
    54 BOS: Movers and Shakers

    Top 5 Scoring Individuals
Catherine Tynan - MCS (with more then a third of her teams entire score!)
    Kevin Barrett 36
Alan Robertson - Pelko 35 (also with almost a third of his teams score!)
    Brian Hickey 35
Luke Brady 35 (g'wan Lafortezza ya boy ya!)
Some bloke called Mark something from Emuse.... 34... probably luck :p:p

I played ok... I played exactly 3 hands to a showdown and lost two of them... I got RSI from tossing them back in the gutter and eventually had to play a few marginal hands and got walloped by a fnckin' poker of all things!
Horrible cards but even sitting there I made it to 6th or 5th (cant recall which I was still reeling from betting all-in into a poker...)

Weel doesn't look to bad - we only lost 2pts overall to 2nd place - looks like it was a tough weekall round. By now the noobs aren't noobs anymore and are probably tired of going out early each week so are playing a little tighter.

All in alla good week - well done lads

I'd say everyone could agree that it was a slightly off night for teh team. Apart from DapperGent getting 2nd in a tense headsup affair, we got 5th, two 6ths and a seventh, nicely in the points but probably not indicative of our skillz. Or maybe we just got lucky the first 3 weeks!:)

I walked into a train crash after playing only 3 hands all night (crap cards). My best pocket cards all night was KQd which I won... king high. *shakes head*

There was definitely tighter play but still it was practically impossible to predict what any flop meant to any player. I saw people call 200 raises before the flop with 6,9o. I saw a bloke call AA all the way to the river and then just call with a trash board.

It took a lot longer before anyone was knocked out too, or so it seemed to me... by 8pm most tables still had half the players there at least. I think a lot of team captains may have copped on that its a marathon, not a sprint and given their team instructions along those lines.

All the same we did the poker equivalent of Neo dodging bullets in the Matrix last night... I dunno how we got away with it but I say we should call it a draw and be happy! :p:p

Just remembered that at my table there was one guy who was totally wasted. He kept saying ".....too mannnny pinnnnts..." over and over whenever it was his turn to do anything. The dealers were explaining how much it was to call, and he'd put out the wrong amount then say "....too mannnny pinnnts..." and try to fold.

At one stage he picked up the dealer button and tried to include it in his raise! The dealer picked it up and put it back in front of him and the guy goes "...no no I'm raising..." and pushed the dealer button back in with his chips.
he came 9th at a table of 12

    *lol* thats a funny story

Got a better one though - Was in Merrion club last week for their Sunday night tournament. A lot of people playing, quite a few noobs too. We were dealing ourselves which is always unfortunate and the deal came round to this one guy who was being slow turning over the flop and wasnt payin attention even though he was in the hand. The guy beside him goes "flip em flip em" yer man goes "what?" then turns over his own hand instead of the flop and the whole table busts out laughing, somebody then raises him 2000 and he sheepishly folds :)

(Edit) Apologies to the guy if he's actually reading this :)

First night I played in the Fitz I made the classic n00b mistake of folding when called as big blind (the dealer looked at me for a raise or call and I threw my cards towards him). He passed them back to me explaining what the story was but I couldnt hear him properly and flustered as I was I just told him I really really wanted to fold. The table cracked up and I felt like a complete moron. I had to reveal a fairly serious bluff later on to try and get any respect back.
It happens to all of us (I still get flustered sometimes!)

Oh we are lucky lucky boys after that night. I knew we had given emuse a point on one table and gotten it back on another. Dappergent looked after the rest They too had a bad night. Its now a case of sitting on our hands and hoping to avoid another one of those nights. Once we dont get 10 12th positions between now and the finish I cant see us being caught, hopefully.

I was just thinking aswell. Last night was the "n00bs" 4th game at this stage, ie my 4th proper game I was about to enter the 250 game as my 5th game, so the players who have played other forms of poker i'd say are now getting well used to the format and may be getting better as I think we found out last night.

    To roughly quote Dev:
If they come after you with nothing you should win the hand as you are playing with something. If they come after you with good cards, thats Poker.

At this stage its enjoy it while it lasts

Tis all over for me now though I've played my 4 weeks after swopping with Hyzpeher on monday, hopefully someone with a couple of weeks to play is just down the leaderboard.
