Thousands of WU TANG CLAN fans in Ireland are set for treat on St Patrick’s Day this year when their massively acclaimed rapper and producer RAEKWON ‘THE CHEF’ brings his acclaimed 4 man rap show to Redbox for an Irish debut that is sure to be a night to remember for years to come.

From Staten Island New York; Wu Tang Clan are generally acknowledged to be the most revolutionary rap group of the mid-90s and the series have made their 9 core members famous for a variety of different reasons. In the case of Method Man it was hit singles such as the duet with Mary J Blige’s ‘You’re All I need to get by’, though his fame was outstripped by Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s series of police runs which coincided with the massive ‘Got Your Money’ dancefloor hit.

For Raekwon however, a massively acclaimed solo album ‘Only Built for Cuban Linx’ was what kept him the hottest Wu Tang member (alongside RZA) in the minds of hiphop fans. Raekwon has been described by AllHipHop as ‘Wu Tang’s most versatile and descriptive rhyme spitting story-teller’. Born Corey Woods, Raekwon is making his Irish debut to promote the release of his third solo album ‘The Lex Diamond Story’.

Support on this show comes from breathtaking scratch DJ FLIP – who made Ireland proud in December by winning the ITF World Scratching Championship – and is due to release his debut single in April. He’s joined on this show by his mate DJ BEWARE – who has been Hong Kong DMC champ for the last few years. Opening up will by Wexford MC Rob Kelly.

This show is an official part of the St Patrick’s Music Festival.
