Word Virus?

I'm getting kinda musical quavers in Microsoft Word on every line and dots in the space between every word. They show on the screen but they dont print!! I have Norton Internet Security Professional with update 1/3/04. I've also tried a scan off the Norton Website. I'm runnng XP and the Word is the one just prior to Office…

I suspect you are talking about formatting marks

Go to Tools-> Options ->View tab
Then deselect paragraph marks and spaces

This is not a virus. It's supposed to help you to see the spaces, etc. before you print.
