netopia in bridge mode

when connecting a linksys wireless router to the eircom netopia modem , do i have to set the netopia to act in bridge mode .. also do i have to disable the dhcp feature in the netopia in order to connect the linksys and allow hte linksys to do the dhcp and NAT functions ..... cheers lads
