I'm just wondering if anyone knows what the council usually pays for industrial land down the country. Is there an average price per acre???

It can be literally anything and very dependent on what demand there is for such demand, especially based on things like access and services. On an edge of town location perhaps €100,000 - €250,000. You could get will over the million euro in Dublin. Ask local estate agent.

If the council are acquiring the land for a road or suchlike, there may also be a payment for disturbance.
