the quake board is bigger - just that most of the posts on it are older

pages of old posts on quake = 156
pages of old posts on CS = 43

the quake posts go all the way back to 28-02-1998 smile.gif
the earliest CS one i can see is 11-10-2000

by default you can only see posts from the last 10 days

The CS board is full of spamming muppets, which contributes to its status as the most active board on boards.ie

you dont remember when they were hosted in ucg then?
Or before that when it was an IOL games mailing list, full of people having mad "what to do about Daa" discussions and losing sleep over a kid who was getting exactly the response he wanted?

well, if you have quake1, and "the net" why don't you try it, and see what all the fuss is about. The Irish servers are vishnu.ign.ie (duels/wars) and slosh.ign.ie (clan arena)

Theres loads of qw servers on barrysworld as well, maxwell.barrysworld.com ( ffa )always has people on it, as does elvis.barrysworld.com:27541-27545 (duels).

    no FFS!

dont make it easy for the muppets, do we really want ppl like #MEAT# becoming popular?

if they're normal and not weird theyre just average newbies but a muppet is different, the best example of a muppet is #MEAT# he cant spell, has played quake for years but still knows less about it than a newbie and is **** too.

    make newbies learned!
    cast out the muppets!
