I got this idea while looking at the WMXX predictions.

As we all know, WWE are really keen on making these immortal moments that resound through the ages and will always remind everyone of that years WM. Lets take a run throughthe years.

WM1: All The aspects of the main event... celebs and all.
    WM2: The NFL/WWE battle royale
    WM3: Hogans immortal body slam
WM4: Macho man holding the title in the ring with Hoagn and Elizebeth
WM5: Hogan regains the gold(how un eventful)
WM6: The Warrior raises both the titles
WM7: Hogans entrance with the american flag
    WM8: Macho man beats Flair
WM9: Hogan beets Yokozuna after Bret Fails
WMX: The ladder match/Bret held on the superstars shoulders
WM11: LT beets Bam Bam Bigalow
WM12: "The boy hood dream has come throught... for Shawn Michaels"
WM13: Austin passes out after what was said to be the best WM match of all time
WM14: Tyson betrays DX and gives Austin his first title
WM15: Austin over comes the odds and beets the Rock
WM16: Jeff Hardy Swanton bombs off the top of a 20ft ladder
    WM17: Too many to mention...
WM18: Rock and Hogan get the biggest pop off all time
WM19: Whats was ment to be the most immpressive move of all time, botches on Brock Lesner

Well, what are we gonna have this year? Every seems to think a kiss between Y2J and Trish will do it. Any ideas for other potential momnets for this year.

Oh, who is starting to get really excited:D

id imagine they are thinking brock vs oldberg(it was a typo but when i saw it i thought it was funny so it stays) will make the big confrontation moment of this years WM. could also possibly be known as the year when every match was a psuedo-main event.

Im dying to find out how to put in the hour long history of WM...will it be broken into segments during the night or will the first hour between midnight and 1am be used.

    You got it!
    For me it's:
WM1: King Kong Bundy getting the wrestlemania record for fastest match, Squashing SD Jones in 9 Seconds (Nash's squash is discarded for not being at a Wrestlemania.)
WM2: The Bulldogs getting the tag straps from The Dream Team at the Boston Garden
WM3: That classic Savage/Steamboat match, just so ahead of it's time
WM4: Macho getting the gold and Demolition getting their first tag title from Strike Force
WM5: The Wrestlemania debut's of Owen Hart and Curt Hennig IN THE SAME MATCH!
    WM6: Warrior taking both belts
WM7: Savage losing the career ending match and reuniting with Liz
WM8: Savage getting the belt from Flair, Bret's match with Piper
WM9: Lex Luger's mirrored entrance and some seriously hot T&A as well! :)
WM10: The Ladder Match, nuff said.
WM11: Michaels nearly getting the belt from Nash
WM12: That painstaking boring ironman match!
    WM13: The Hart/Austin Double turn
WM14: Austin gets his first title
WM15: Austin and Rock first Wrestlemania classic match
    WM16: Jeff Hardy's swanton
WM17: Austin beating the living sh|t out of the Rock with a chair
WM18: I don't need to answer this one, it's painfully obvious
WM19: Tie between Lesnar botching the SSP and the Michaels/Jericho match
WM20: Goldberg's last WWE match, THANK CHRIST!!!

    There we go! :)

Can that actually be done? it took them three hours almost to break 15 of them down onto a DVD for WM16!

Well the show is going to be five hours long with an hour of a run down of a history...as far as i have heard thats the plan.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,461 ✭✭✭NeroTheExtreme

Well the way it was broken down was 10 mins per wrestlemania covering 15 of them.
It's a five hour show, but seeing as there's already 12 matches pencilled in for WM, they could axe Heat and give the moments section 2 hours. 5 minutes covering each Wrestlemania. I for one wouldn't miss heat just for that :)

    yo, Yo YO!!!

New Revelation. You all know they promo introductions at the start of the PPVs, well what if they made that 15 minutes long or somthing! Showing all the monets fast and all americana and happy and stuff, then the big Wrestlemania XX log goes boom, fire works go boom, boom, Goldberg bombs :)

I think that would be cool.

We have 12 matches... all ok, some pretty good. Not that many coffie matches, part form the Raw tag straps. Actually we dont have a New Zealnad Lawn Mower Match either.

(I think its time i addressed this situation:
A Coffee match: when the match looks co crap you just go and make the stay awake flavoured caffine products
New Zealand Lawn Mower Match: Did anyone she the New Zealand Zombie Movie, Braindead? If so, youll remember the lawn mower scene. Sooooo much blood! Therefore a New Zealand Lawn Mower Match is where there is a lot of blading guarenteed. Like Flair or Trips in a Hell in a Cell, where you know your gonna see blood.)

Does anyone see any possible New Zealand Lawn Mower Matches?

Whats gonna be your coffee match?

Coffee match would be Raw tag titles as well.
It actually hurts my eyes to watch booker t in the ring now.
    I think he's so wasted.
He's gotta turn heel after WM imo.

    New Zealand Lawn Mower Match:
    Deadman Vs Kane
Dont think there will be much blood in that match.

The only match I can see being a New Zealand Lawn mower match will be Whats his name and Brock, just due to Austins presence

    New Zealand lawn mower match:
its gotta be the triple threat match hhh Vs michaels Vs benoit.
the ref (prolly earl hebner)will probably be knocked out twice giving ample excuses for weapons to be used.

speaking of Earl. does anyone remember an incident where there was a fake earl?
i think it was either a survivor series or royal rumble and it involved hogan for the life of me i cant remember it.

i think that ted biase had something to do with it

That would have been Saturday Nights Main event in Feb 1988, they built it up with the Royal Rumble the month beforehand with a contract signing, which of course, Hogan got decked at, A couple of weeks beforehand on Superstars, DiBiase bought Andre's contract from Heenan for a million dollars (by december he bought it back for $100,000, proving he was The Brain!), and Andre promised DiBiase the belt.

So that set us up for Saturday Nights Main Event, Virgil had the Referee distracted and it was actually Dave Hebner who was the referee at the time, he was then, the senior WWF official. Andre got the Belly to Belly suplex on him and Hogan got the shoulder up but Dave Hebner continued to count to 3. Andre held the belt for about 12 seconds before handing the belt to DiBiase when Earl comes legging it down to dispute it. The title was then declared vacant, setting up that extra long tourney at Wrestlemania IV.

So now you know what to blame the next time you see another Kurt Angle match ending with Eric interfering!

Photographic memory, if i've seen it, it generally stays in my head.
I still remember the first major angle i saw on WWF television, and that was Ricky Steamboat getting his throat crushed by Savage as he came down on his throat on the guard rail and being hit in the throat with the ring bell in 1987.

Man, Superstars was must see TV back then!
    Nero:

PS: Also, some of that Hogan/Andre footage, including the Sat Nights Main Event footage is shown on the Wrestlemania IV video.

    Yeah...

I bet takers entrance will be amazing. Think of it this way. Everyone will be wondering what he looks like, so i doubt he'll just walk out. Mabey they'll do the druid thing again like in WM13. IMO that was excellent. Mabey they'll lower him from the roof or make him come out in a casket...

Cant wait. Even will all the BS sorrounding the old Taker retrurning, I still cant wait to see what he looks like.

They're not gonna lower him from the roof after Owen! That'd be BEGGING for trouble.
As for Taker, well lets just say the entrance will get the fans attention a lot quicker than the actual match will, and this isn't a dig at Taker before all the Calloway disciples jump down my throat, but how many times can ya watch UT Vs Kane before it becomes a main cause of insomnia?

No Nero I agree with you.

If Mean Mark Calloways matches were(and lets say for all intestive purposes that they were)good, well then he is gonna get really slow and moapy selling his gimmick. His matches are gonna suck. He will spend the whole match getting his ass kicked and then just stand right back up. Tombstone... 123.. over...

Ive heard his look will be differnet from even before. The match will be remebered just for the old Takers return, and that means that 5, 10, 20, years down the road when were looking back at WMXX, we will see the entrance in the recaps.

Im not looking forward to the match, but i cant wait to see Taker. You have to agree Nero. It will be cool!

I was looking forward to his return a lot more when I thought he'd be the Ministry 'taker i.e more of a manipulating leader/ mind games expert , powerful but not invincible. But now I'm hearing the plan is for him to be an unstoppable monster again who no one can stop , I'm not so keen , there is no place for that in this day and age , no for an old timer like him anyway.
And this talk of him squashing Kane , then Brock is wrong as well .They've done a good job building Kane up again since the unmasking and even more time and effort on building up Lesnar. They should not fall victim to his return , feed him the likes of the FBI and A Train , or better still go with the ministry angle and have him wrestle less and be the mentor more. Guys like O'Hare and Morgan would be perfect for his new ministry. That way he can be another legend who we like having around because he's .. well , a legend , but he's not really interfering in the progression of present and new stars.

On paper, it'll probably be the coolest part of the entire event. But there were a load of things that looked good on paper, including the original concept for Mankind ;)

Well it's not like we have a hell of a long time to wait anyway :)

For me the Coffee match moments will be the raw tag titles, womens match and evening gown thingy..... if they want some proper slutty divas wrestling they shud have had a 'hardcore shower and soap, im a thrasy nasty girl pull my hair match'..... i wouldve loved that, nothing more entertaining than watching a couple of diva's going mental in the showers thrashing each other about the place throwing soap and tubes of toothpaste at each other and slipping on those tiles and calling each other thrasy girls!!! wtih nip slips all over the place and Tazz making loads of fantastic remarks:)

We mite see a New Zealand Lawnmower match but im not sure.

Regards the food situation for this i think a couple of pizza's, crate of beer and selections of crisps, sweets etc should keep the bell3h goin during all this fun!
