I used to have the old model medion 15' tft screen I bought it with my aldi PC 2 yrs ago and found it great, and i was playing games on it all the time with no noticable lag or shadowing.

    Cost me £300 back then

I can only guess they have improved over time, sounds like a decent price alright :)

i played unreal tournament, it looked terribal at first, but when you press the down arrow it sets the brightness+ colour+ contrast automatically, takes about 10 seconds, iots looked perfect after that, but unreal is a very dark and grey game

empire earth looked perfect, didnt need to do the contrast thing

will try a nice colourfull game when i get in from work

one problem- there is a blue led beside the power button, its so bloody bright i put a tiny bit of dark insulating tape over it :dunno:

€499 for the 17" Medion version and the same for a compaq one. They were in the Galway currys at the weekend.

if its over 20ms response time then you often get shadowing problems, the image quality on a still will still be the same, but its when the screen is moving around in d3d or movies etc that you will notice the 'shadowing' effect..

i got the 17" benq one from overclockers.co.uk for 300 sterling just before christmas and i can recommend that for gaming no problems, it has 16ms response time.. (would get the link but lazy..)
