I feel the need for another home game. I will run one the last Saturday of this month. If anyone would like to run one in the meantime and invite me along that would be just great. Post a reply or PM me if you are interested.

Seats- At least 8 more if needed.

Game- No Limit Texas Holdem

Buyin- €10

Rebuys- Allowed. Rebuy period 3 hours (More if the prize pot is crap).

Topups- Yes. One at end of rebuy period.

Payout- 1st ½
2nd 1/3
3rd 1/6

Extras- €5 House charge. This will provide food and softdrinks for the night.

Iago, once upon a time (not very long ago, nor in a galaxy far far away) noone of us knew each other ....

We meet up every Thursday from about 8pm in The Henry Grattan pub on Grafton Street. Sometimes we meet at 6:30 for a game of pool in The Fireworks on Pearse St... (when Luke and Casper dont stand me up that is )

Even if you dont want to play in the (free-in) Thursday competition... drop along for a pint!

I'm afraid this one is full. I will be having another one next month. I will put up a post arround the middle of the month. Oh and yes, beginners are welcome, very welcome in fact.:D

But seriously, the top recomendation for n00bs is to go to the Henry Gratten on a Thursday night arround 2000 or 2030, meet up with a bunch of us and then play in the free entry game in the Fitz. That is the top tip.

I'm still in (if there's even room for me) You mentioned there's more people of you know who aren't on boards, plus there's at least a few on boards who are also interested -- couldn't we somehow split this into two games of 8 people or something? Obviously we'd need a second house though

Great Stuff Chris and thanks to Mrs. Pudding and the mini Puddings for putting up with us. Obviously I think there should have been a 4th prize but other than that great night.

Thanks Chris for having us, fair play to the lads for winning the money. I think my winning streak of the last few weeks is over, especially after a dismal showing in the fitz last night.

In the €20 game I had on ebig chance to get a big stack. I had QQ and there was a few all ins before it got to me so I automatically went all in.
The flop came 8-K-Q or something, so I was hoping my trip queens would hold up but some fecker had called the all-ins with J-9 off suit and hit a 10 on the turn for a straight.

The 6.30pm game seems like a good one. Its the same deal as thursday nights but there was only 3 tables last night and the play was fairly sensible as far as I could see.

A bit of a marathon game tbh and I suffered for it the next day but great fun and the banter around the table was brilliant. I have to say the standard of poker is definitely improving as time goes by and the other night was a good example of this.

Its a 14 day evaluation but would do us for a game anyway?

If we find it really good we cud split the cost and give the scamp a few quid to register it, think it's cheap enough.
