Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I can't seem to be able to get any updates anymore to any threads that iv'e started or responded to, in my User Control Panel. This has been going on for a good few weeks now.

If you can sort it out, that would be great!

    Thanks:)

You're subscribed to 12 threads altogether. Perhaps you clicked the "unsubscribe from all threads" link that comes in the e-mail by accident?

no, I unsubscribed from threads that I didn't need anymore, but I didn't click the "unsubscribe from all threads" button (I use my usercp for checking updated threads, not by e-mail).

Should you be subscribed to more than 12? I can resubscribe you to all threads you've ever posted to if you wish.

I suppose you could try it, and see if my profile updates them when new replies come in (but what about the newer threads after that?).

I started a new thread on rules of attraction and even though there are new replies, my user cp is completely ignoring this.

Is there any chance you could start a new account and import all my user credentials, then delete the old one (if this is the only way around it)??

    Thanks:D :D:D

Ok, I see the problem I think.

Did you switch off 'email me notifications' ?

There doesn't seem to be a way of subscribing to threads that doesn't e-mail you (although there seems to be provision for it in the database). In that case I could get a list of users who want to auto-subscribe but not receive mails and update their subscriptions and see what happens.

If you do import my credentials, be sure to keep the amount of posts I have under my aviator and not restart it to zero.:p.

    Thanks

ok, thanks. I turned it off awhile ago, because I could just use my control panel.

Use this method anyway with my profile, and I'll report back to tell you if everything's alright.

    thanks

Done, although closer examination seems to suggest that it won't work.

If it doesn't work, i'll just say yes to e-mail notification. I'll report back with you later.

    Thanks

still didn't work, so I guess you have to say yes to the e-mails. Doesn't matter, I don't really use that e-mail anyway.

Thanks for looking into it. Hopefully this works.

Seems to be working now anyhow.

    Thanks
