Without ripping the PC apart or gaying around with TV cards, is there any decent application to let u go through QW demos and select bits and piece them together? or make them into AVIs even better.....

Thanks lads, but Keygrip is too old, it's for winquake dem files, I'm talking about .qwd files, maybe there's an AVI maker that will pull screengrabs over a period of 5 to 10 seconds or something? i dunno....how did those bastids on FDE do that last deadly one....

Eric, surely u know how to do this?

ok what u need is a prog that can convert *.qwd files into *.dem files, there might be one on fileplanet if u use the search feature. File planet is kinda **** though, but thats the only place i can think that might have the file. Have u tried renaming the qwd file to a dem file? That might work if qw demos are basically the same structure as normal quake ones but i dont know, i've never tried it.

you cant convert quakeworld demos to winquake demos, it'd be like trying to convert a q3 demo to a q2 demo

there is a way to do this, ask strider, he knows how to do it (i think it takes some effort though)

yeah but didnt u just say that u cant do it?

there must be some way of doing it, qw uses the same maps as normal quake and theres no difference in the graphical engine so there must be some way of converting the all of the movement co-ordinates and all that crap. U just need to be a good enough programmer, unlike me.
