Just make some boot disks in norton ( i can give ya) and boot with them and if they get rid of the virus all well, if not then format.

Do you have Windows XP on cd??

If so you should put in your pc before you boot.
Set the BIOS to boot off cd.
The PC will boot of cd and you can reinstall/format from Windows XP cd.
