    I've some spare grant money for science awareness promotion, so I've decided to throw a few bob towards boards.

    Basically, I'm going to run a post of the month prize in the science sub section (comprised of Astronomy/Space, Biology/Medicine, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics/Chemistry and Science). If this is successful I will run it for up to six months.

    One post will be nominated from each of the 6 science forums every month and the best post will be chosen from these.

    The winning poster will get a 20 Euro booktoken for his/her trouble.

    POSTS DO NOT NEED TO BE TECHNNICAL TO BE CONSIDERED

    Posts will be judged on:

    Bringing interesting areas to attention.
    Clear and simple explanations of difficult concepts.
    Generating interesting discussions.
    Showing an original and good understanding of an area.
    Showing good scientific-minded reasoning.
    Accessability to the lay person.


    Posts will be excluded if:

    Flaming/trolling and/or spamming occurs
    Plagerism is evident.
    They are merely article quotes or googled pastes.
    They violate any forum charter rules.

    The judges decision will be final and the first prizewinner will be announced on the First monday of April (5th).
