    I want to start into playing q3 online, and i dont know where to start I have 127h and thats about it. I just need some info, who's who? where are the servers? Standard configs etc.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    you also have 1.27g, right?

    the best way to start is to mess around on public servers - load up q3 and use the in-game feature to search for the fastest suitable server (ideally a public server that is not being used by a clan). then 0wn there.
    for q3 settings, read the help section on http://www.quake.ie/
    I play on BW clanarena servers most of the time at sam.barrysworld.com:28001 and sam.barrysworld.com:28002 but the standard on these servers is usually high and an inexperienced modemer would find it very difficult.
    If you can get other people on IRC to play, use vishnu.ign.ie or vishnu.ign.ie:27961 (duel server)
    download OSP verstion T, U, V and V1 off http://www.orangesmoothie.com/beta.html because these are used on servers, extract all files into c:\quake3\osp\ where c:\quake3 should be replaced by the path to quake3 on your comp
