Original Quake files needed!

lo guys n gals

Need access to all the quake files needed to play and set up a Q1 server, had all these files up until a few months ago and now need em back anyone have a link to all of them?

Are you talking about just the vanilla quake distro, or the specific qw server mods?

If the former, look for smallquake, (at www.redbrick.dcu.ie/~doomgod/q.zip methinks... if not mess around with the url)

If the latter, maybe someone has on a gaming site somewhere, it's harder to find that stuff these days...

i have the small quake .. but i need da maps now.. in fact i need to get access to a site which has all the files and maps .. can anyone help?

heh heh thx eric.. now my prob is that i cant get the damm game to play these maps, i have used the reg 1 command to try and get dm maps to run, but with no luck, (btw check ure mail!!) have u got full ver of Quake 1 handy? have some friends over from Wales staying.. and we want to play the dm maps .. any help moist welcome !

Eric i have been playing q1 for a while now..on lan.. just did not have the proper files.. i have now. but i have another problem, when i try to connect to internet servers.. pc locks up while trying to connect.. have no idea why.. i have full ver of quake, qw/glquake/winquake etc etc.. but when i try to connect pc locks any ideas?

ok calm now ok i can now get qw and wq to try and connect to servers that are on quake.ie.. but i still cant get to play on any server.. any ideas.. before i go insane?

If you wanna do team games :

To get on a server type :
CONNECT VISHNU.IGN.IE
(from the console, remember that its the one with the (~) tilda key)

And no, it wasnt a typo. Running around a level playing the likkle monsters with impulse 255 on, all the weapons, armour, god mode on, quaded and pented, for some strange reason, wont make you skillfull in team games.

But having said that, we'll gladly give you a few games anytime.
