Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Interesting the way the truck approaches almost parrallel and then swings the tail end in. Call me sceptical about a manufacturers claims.

To me, the truck in the video looks like it would have a d.g.v.w of around 7.5-10 tonnes. I would like to see how the barrier would have reacted if hit by a fully laden artic weighing 40 tonnes. Also, I didn't see any data about either the speed or angle of impact - it's impossible to judge just from looking at the video, and this is very important data when evaluating the performance of the barrier.

The hedgerow on the N7 near Rathcoole seems to be able to capture HGV's without a crash barrier! Saw a "heavy mover" recently that had left the carraigeway and made a controlled stop using the wide median and the hedgerow. Not two much of the hedge row left though.

For the few accidents that cable barriers will contain I would say that they are more than safe.
