Last week I thought, Ireland is safe enough, even with old georgie coming for a visit, but now on the one day the world focuses on Ireland - Bert has to speak up about a bombing in Iraq. I really wonder what Bertie is thinking though. Shouldn't a voice for the people, as he is, have his ear to the ground about hot topics like bringing Al Queda to our shores?

So what did he say exactly? If he issued a general condemnation of the Madrid bombings, this is perfectly reasonable, imo. He would be echoing the feelings of most Irish people.
