Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Banned from humanities

Well, I've been unable to reply to the skangers post, so had to start a new thread. I agree with the skanger that the moderators are ego-maniacs on some forums here. Strangely though, I was banned by amp for speaking out against paedophiles in the humanities section. Unfairly I believed, as my points were all valid. I guess the majority of the self-proclaimed 'intellectuals' of the humanities forum support paedophilia, or perhaps i'm deserving of being shunned for my uncool and unpopular views that sex with children, or kiddie porn, is wrong...

I know, the real reason I was banned was because I questioned the intelligence of the people who were arguing pro-paedo ... But I didnt do that in an emotional way... I didnt even direct it as an insult. It was a genuine question, or statement based on my observations. Anyway, bottom line, I'm still banned, and have no intention of imparting any of my pearls of wisdom onto humanities (they seem to be touting a strange cult called the irish humanists nowadays... non profit organisation? Thats why theres a part of their website asking for donations and subscriptions? yes.. right...), but I just wanted to back up the skangers valid points.

Moderators are glorified fascists in many cases, who seem compelled to assert their very laughable 'power' on boards, and as such, they should be held accountable and watched by other moderators. It would be very easy to knock up another boards.ie and give freedom of speech to all, after all.

    /end of rant.
