Hi,

Can anyone tell me how I can get my WAN IP address from that really cool,
state-of-the-art, Zyxel router IOL supply?

I'd like to set up a web site to sell maimed and abandoned hamsters and other small mammals!

Actually, if anyone knows anything about dynamic DNS, I'm all ears.

Well an easy way to find your ip is http://www.whatismyip.com

If your want that dynamic dns thing, try www.dyndns.org. In fact there is an option in your modem configuration web page to automatically update the ip to the address everytime it changes.

As for setting up a web server, you will have to configure NAT to forward port 80 to the address of the machine your going to host the web site on. I'm not sure will the web configurator running on the router clash with this.

If you want to save yourself the hassle of typing in whatismyip.com haha for all you lazy people out there www.getip.com does the same.... Found it by fluke I was thinking,, wouldn't it be a good idea if there was a website that told me my IP... So typed it in and what do you know, someone had already thought of it! ;P

Not only is it quicker it can also get around proxies to get the real IP address of your machine, if it's let that is, http://www.whatismyip.com/ just showed me my proxy IP, http://www.getip.com/ just showed the proxy IP.
