    I agree that Dublin does not have a particlarly high population density in the city center. But many, many people in dublin work in the city center. We need a effective means of moving people into, out of and through the city center.

    The problem is that a large number of people coming into the city centre are coming from beyond what would be the reach of the proposed metro system.

    By all means build an underground link to the airport and onto Swords. In fact, if it skipped the airport and went straight to Swords it would be more beneficial!

    In the meantime give IR the finance to "dart-ify" the Maynooth and Kildare lines as per their recent plan and, after the the new tram lines bed in, lets hope their will be the construction of additional tram lines.
